It was not until the early 1980s when Danish optometrist Poul-Jorn Lindberg needed spectacles, which made him really aware of what it was, like to wear spectacles. He was particularly aware that mass production of frames meant that the face had to be found to fit the frame!

Together with Architect Hans Dissing he conceived a completely different frame building system: Air Titanium, With this concept LINDBERG completely revolutionized the international market for eyewear and have been awarded 45 of the prestigious design prizes in the world.
