Welcome to Poundbury! We relocated our Dorchester practice to our purpose build premises at 31 Crown Street West in late 2019. The practice was formerly known as IJ Brown Partnership and in 2016 saw the Robert Frith group purchase the IJ Brown branches. Friths have retained the distinct identity of each practice and have continued the strong independent ethos of both groups by concentrating on the delivery of the best possible eyecare to our patients.
Our Practice Manager and Dispensing Optician Lisa works very closely with our Optometrist Claire to provide the very best advice on your eye care and give information on the latest lens choice and frame designs. Jackie will be your first point of contact on reception offering a friendly smile in a relaxed environment.
We are extremely excited to announce we also offer hearing care services. We have teamed up with The Hearing Care Partnership (THCP) as they share our passion for personal service and clinical excellence.

Lisa has 20 years of experience in optics, 15 of which she has been delivering professional and personal eye care in Dorset. Her passion is to provide the very best frame style advice to suit each and every individual, whilst tailoring bespoke lenses to suit your lifestyle and to achieve optimum visual performance.

Claire has worked in optics for 20 years, working hard for a degree in Optical Management, following this she achieved a first class honours degree in Optometry. After studying in Cambridge, her and her family moved to Dorchester where they have been settled for over a decade. Claire is passionate about eyecare, she has a high level of expertise in contact lenses and enjoys seeing patients of all ages.
