Our friendly independent Weymouth Practice is based on the South Coast of Dorset, home to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games. Our journey started in 1882 when the practice was established and was formerly known as The I J Brown Partnership, and in 2016 saw the Robert Frith group purchase the IJ Brown branches. Since then, the practice has grown in strength, committed to delivering personal eye care. Our professional and strong reputation is known throughout the town, using state of the art equipment and introducing new technology along the way.
Our Practice Manager and Partner Nadene has been with the company since 1991. Along with Optometrists Elena and Guilia, they are dedicated to providing the very best in eye care and are here to advise and offer the latest lens choice and frames. They are supported by an amazing team of Receptionists, all of whom are familiar faces within the practice.
We are excited to be able to offer hearing care services with The Hearing Care Partnership (THCP), as they share our passion for personal service and clinical excellence.
Here at the Robert Frith’s Weymouth practice, we provide a wide range of dedicated eye care services alongside routine eye tests. Whether you’re looking to get your Low Vision Assessment, upgrade your frames, or following up with one of our IP qualified optometrists, we’ll happily assist arranging your appointment.
I entered the world of Optics when I was 16. I later studied at The Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers in London, gaining knowledge in frame and lens manufacturing thus allowing me to become a qualified SMC (Tech) Optical Technician.
After much consideration I decided to broaden my horizons and start studying once again, this time studying at ABDO College in Godmersham, Kent. After 3 years of undertaking the Fellowship Dispensing Diploma course and passing exams, I graduated and became a qualified FBDO Dispensing Optician.
I've been doing this since 1991 and I’m still enjoying my work! I like dealing with any concerns from patients and solving any problems that may arise is the nature of my job.
In my spare time I am a very keen cyclist and love riding abroad, especially up lots of mountains!
